Drakesogenia

This is a Brown Drake pattern that can be used during the hexogenia hatch as well. It can be a very productive pattern in central Alberta streams and rivers. This pattern uses the Frosty Fly Fishing Brown Drake realistic body which is an extremely durable and floats like a cork. The utilization of CDC as a hackle makes this pattern extra buggy. Make sure when purchasing CDC it isn’t dyed and washed in harsh chemicals as CDC in its nature is buoyant and this process has a tendency to strip this off the naturally occurring fibers. Have fun tying and fishing this pattern.
